Proving your quality of work to agents and casting directors is difficult. I can teach you how to create great showreels at home to send to agents and casting directors. It’s inexpensive and very easy to do with the right guidance. Creating a demo reel can be tough – sometimes impossible – especially in the early stages of your career. Whether it’s a shortage of footage, issues tracking down footage, or the footage you have is not truly showcasing you as an actor, many actors waste a lot of time and money trying to have a reel professionally produced, however, many casting directors say they’d prefer to see your best work performed self-tape style vs a choppy showreel that focuses on production value over performance.
With my Scene Library Creation package, we will build a custom scene library for you that demonstrates your full potential and versatility as an actor. I’ll provide you with scenes to suit your ‘brand’ that showcase your abilities, and coach you through various changes to ensure your best acting work is on your showreel.
I will personally coach and direct you to bring out your full potential. Scene libraries are becoming extremely popular and helpful in the casting process these days and are generally hosted on Vimeo so they can be presented in a clean and professional way.

In a digital world, self-tests are a huge part of an actor’s career. With both the quality of performance and the production being judged, it’s important to put your best tape forward, and what better way to do this than with the help of a professional casting director? My self-tape studio is set up with a professional camera, audio and lighting gear to give you an industry-standard test. I will coach your performance, read with you and help you choose the best takes. The process is quick and easy, so you get your test in on time and can relax knowing you submitted your best work.

I can help you prepare roles for Screen and Theatre. I can be your companion as we build the foundation of a great performance. You are in the driver’s seat and I will help you navigate.

Starting out can be daunting.I can give you basics in a fun easy to understand structure. You’ll discover how actors do what they do and be doing yourself quicker than you think. We’ll discover the elements that create character, how to learn lines, what to analyse in a script to turn it into a living breathing person and much more. It’s a lot of fun!
Each 90 minutes session is yours. If have something specific you want to work on, we can do it. If you would like me to run the session and create an individual experience for you, we can do that too.
I have an amazing script analysis technique I use for Self-Tests that people love. It keeps me honest, so I don’t miss something important.

On top of the regular acting classes I teach, I also run intensive acting workshops in Brisbane a couple of times per year. These Audition & Self-Test workshops run in small groups to ensure you receive plenty of attention and walk away with new-found knowledge and tools that can be applied immediately.
With 20 years’ industry experience both as an actor and casting director, I’m able to give you true insight into the mind of a casting director and what makes a fantastic audition, while helping you work on your mindset as an actor, overcoming fear and mental blocks that often stand in your way.
You’ll learn tricks and techniques from some of the most influential acting teachers of our time – Uta Hagen, Chubbuck, Larry Moss, Eric Morris and Mark Travis – and understand how to apply them in real time. Whether you are auditioning for a lead or support, an acting school, for a commercial, one line in a feature, a guest in a TV show or a lead role, I will give you the techniques you need to create a routine for yourself that works every time, enabling you to truly showcase your abilities.
Following the workshop, you’ll also be sent a copy of the work you’ve done so you can see the progress you made and for showreel material!

As an actor, it’s important to view your skills as muscles, and acting classes like the gym. By staying in shape as an actor, you’ll not only continue to grow and improve, but be ready when it comes time to audition or perform. Using my 20 years’ experience in the industry, first as an actor, now as a casting director, my goal is to help you create performances that casting directors, producers, directors and audiences all love to watch.There’s nothing more important than feeling safe in your environment so you have the confidence to throw yourself into the work and embrace vulnerability and truth. My Brisbane acting classes offer just this — a safe, focused and fun environment surrounded by actors all with the same goal as you. Class sizes are intentionally kept small so you receive the attention you need to be challenged each week. You will also be sent a copy of your filmed work so you can track your progress and build an invaluable scene library.
